StudShelf Support
StudShelf is currently in closed beta. For app support, accessibility feedback, privacy questions, or general feedback, email feedback@studshelfapp.com.
Before Troubleshooting
StudShelf stores your library locally and does not currently use accounts or cloud synchronization.
Before changing app or browser storage, export a fresh backup and save it somewhere outside StudShelf. Do not clear app storage, browser storage, or recovery data while investigating a persistence or restore problem.
Backup files may contain your complete set history, sessions, ratings, reviews, and notes. Treat them as private, and do not send a raw backup unless StudShelf support explains why it is needed and you choose to provide it.
What to Include in a Report
Please include only the information needed to understand the issue:
Your StudShelf version and build number from Tools → About & Data
Your device, platform, browser when applicable, and operating-system version
The screen where the issue occurred
The approximate time it happened
The exact visible error message
The smallest steps that reproduce the issue
Whether force-quitting and reopening StudShelf changes the behavior
Whether you have a recent exported backup
Do not send passwords, account credentials, authentication tokens, private keys, complete browser-storage contents, full console logs, or unrelated personal files.
Send screenshots only when you are comfortable with everything visible in them.
If the email action inside StudShelf does not open, use Tools → Beta Feedback → Copy Full Report, then paste the report into an email addressed to feedback@studshelfapp.com. Nothing is sent automatically.
Search and Connectivity
Search requires an internet connection to the StudShelf public API and Rebrickable’s catalog services.
If search fails:
Confirm that your device is connected to the internet.
Wait briefly.
Try the search once more.
Force-quitting and reopening StudShelf is safe and is not intended to clear your local library.
Do not repeatedly reinstall StudShelf or clear its storage to troubleshoot a temporary search outage.
Restore and Recovery Safety
Selecting a backup file or pasting backup JSON does not immediately replace your library. StudShelf displays a restore summary for review before any replacement is confirmed.
Canceling the review leaves your current library unchanged.
If StudShelf displays a recovery warning, read the available options carefully before continuing. Do not attempt to edit StudShelf’s storage manually.
For a crash-screen report, include the incident code, copied safe error report, and normal safe diagnostics. The incident code does not correspond to an automatically uploaded server report.
Accessibility Feedback
Accessibility feedback is welcome, including observations about:
VoiceOver
Dynamic Type
Contrast
Focus order
Touch-target size
Keyboard behavior
Gestures
Compact-screen layouts
Describe the assistive setting you were using and the smallest steps that demonstrate the issue.
Privacy
Read the StudShelf Privacy Policy at:

Response Expectations
StudShelf support is currently handled personally and manually.
Messages are reviewed as capacity allows, with privacy, security, startup, restore, accessibility, and potential data-loss issues prioritized. A fixed response time is not guaranteed.
